$100,000 Challenge Update
D-PAN’s $100,000 Challenge – An Update
“There are two kinds of success: initial and ultimate.” Winston Churchill
D-PAN was issued a challenge this past October – generate $100,000 by December 21, 2009 and a generous benefactor will donate $100,000 toward our making our vision a reality. While we fell short of reaching the goal, we are not deterred – as a matter of fact we are encouraged by, what we consider to be, measurable “votes of confidence” for the organization and our new mission.
To those of you who invested in our organization – please accept our sincere thanks. D-PAN pledges to efficiently and effectively utilize your gift on behalf of our constituents. We take our stewardship seriously and will insure that our progress is well-documented and consistently communicated. And in keeping with that commitment, here are some of the top-line outcomes of the past few months:
A group of students from North Plainfield, New Jersey who spent countless hours working to raise funds for D-PAN ( Please see “Hardworking North Plainfield High School ASL Club Supports D-PAN“)
The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID, a national membership organization representing the professionals who facilitate communication between people who are deaf or hard of hearing and people who can hear) utilized our compilation DVD “It’s Everybody’s Music Volume I” as a fundraiser (Please see “RID Region IV and D-PAN Team Up to Build Financial Support“)
Over 2,000 new “subscribers” to our quarterly newsletter and electronic announcements
Nearly 100 requests for information on our forthcoming Scholarships as well as inquiries for D-PAN Productions, and
60 individuals who took the time to send us messages of support for the new mission
We are grateful for all of these initial successes and will continue to aggressively work toward achieving our ultimate success – making a measurable and positive impact on the lives of our constituents.
