Gallery/Site Content Policy

D-PAN: Deaf Professional Arts Network strives to serve all members of the community and to show due respect to persons of all ages, genders, races, abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and sexual orientations. Our goal is to provide all site visitors, organizational partners, performers and audience members with services, content and experiences of uniformly high quality and value while minimizing any possibility of causing offense to any of our diverse constituencies. As such, creative contributions and submissions to D-PAN for consideration must comply with the following:

Submissions for consideration should not –

Include content which denigrates or threatens any individual, racial, religious or cultural group;
Contain excessive profanity;
Contain excessive nudity;
Contain sexually suggestive content inappropriate for display to children;
Advocate violence towards any person, ethnicity, gender, religious or other group;
Contain source material from any copyrighted works whose rights are not owned by the artist, including trademarks, and service marks;
Identify or depict other individuals without their consent;
Promote illegal or illicit activities (e.g.. drug use);
Promote commercial enterprises or activities;
Be otherwise inappropriate for display to minors

In addition, in the case of interactive and computer-based works, submissions may not:
Contain links to websites or other online sources whose content violates any of the preceding guidelines;
Harvest names, passwords, or any user-identifiable information;
Contain advertising of any kind.

Decisions as to a work’s eligibility for exhibition by D-PAN: Deaf Professional Arts Network are at the sole discretion of the organization. The organization retains the right to remove works from the site at any time.   D-PAN will not be held responsible for the content of external sites or for changes made to content linked from our site subsequent to that link being created. In the event that a possible violation of these policies is identified, the link will be removed from D-PAN’s site.
